Cruise - Day 5

Day five was spent in port at Montego Bay, Jamaica. I didn't care much for Jamaica. It was very dirty and loud. The people were very open in their feelings about Americans and they were rude. The shop owners, taxi cab drivers and shuttle bus drivers were all out to make a buck. I always felt like a scam was in the works. However, the beaches were gorgeous!

There were a lot of Texans on this ship. Many kept asking the Cruise Director if some how they could show the Texas - Alabama game. Some how they ship worked it out and they set up a HUGE screen on the Promenade with food, food and more food for all to watch the game. It was pretty neat!

Cruise - Day 4

Day four of the cruise was spent in the most glorious port...Georgetown, Grand Cayman. I would go back to this country in a heart beat. It was beautiful, clean and no shop owners were trying to drag you into their store! The beaches were absolutely breath taking. We spent the day at Seven Mile Beach.

See the little tender boat to the side of the ship? Since there isn't a dock in Grand Cayman, we rode in one of these boats to the port. The sea was pretty rough that day... (barf.)

Cruise - Day 3

Day three we were in port at Cozumel Mexico.

Shopping was crazy. Everyone wanted you to come into their store! "Hey lady! come buy in my store!"

Cruise - Day 2

Day two of the cruise we were at sea, sailing to Cozumel Mexico. It was fun exploring the ship, sunbathing/reading, eating, and going to the ship activities and shows.


This evening was a formal evening in the dining room.

Caribbean Cruise - Day 1

Ron and I decided it would be fun to celebrate our 16th anniversary by taking a cruise. We made plans to go with our dear friends, Troy and Stacy Taylor. Also celebrating their 16th anniversary. It just so happens, they got married the exact same day, year, and time as we did....except we were married in Seattle and they were in Arizona. Such and odd coincidence. The first time we meet at church, we just hit it off. Love you guys! Thanks for such a fun time on the cruise!


Nothing says welcome like a few magazines to browse through in your stateroom! What the heck? Someone thinks they are really funny! (Get it? Look at the people on the front covers? Titanic actors? haha!)

Exploring the ship on day one.

The food was pretty incredible on the ship. A person at our table told us we could order as many appetizers, main courses and desserts we wanted. So, all week we each ordered several things to try. I did try escargot, lobster and shrimp for the first time. Not bad.

This is the ship fact sheet. Click to enlarge. It's pretty amazing. There were about 3,400 passengers on our ship. 1,200 crew. There are 120 chefs and they make 25,000 meals a day.

The dining room was our favorite place to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I loved be served and waited upon. It was a wonderful break for any Mother! :)

There was also a huge buffet, a pizza and bake shop, and 24 hour room service. Did I mention there was no charge on food? It was awesome!

Our dining table. There was suppose to be 10 people, but typically we only had 6. It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed getting to know the others and had a great time eating and laughing.

Grandma and Grandpa Avery come to Play!

We always love it when Grandma and Grandpa come to hang out with us! This time they came to visit for two weeks! It was fun taking them out to eat at Texan restaurants, laughing and playing games. We were fortunate enough to have them take care of the kids for 7 of those days so Ron and I could go on a cruise to the Caribbean. THANK YOU SO MUCH Carol and Gary!

Tiffany begins Primary!

Tiffany graduated from Nursery and is now going to Primary. I can't believe how fast time is going. Where's my baby? It has been so fun watching her grow into a smart little preschooler!
