Here are photos of the pool being built...start to finish!
First dig
Digging and forming the pool. Mud, mud everywhere. This entire process took about a month. The wet weather and cold temps slowed us down a little bit. I can't tell you how much mud and dust traveled into our home! It was everywhere. My favorite day was when the decking company came in and laid the new patio...bye bye mud!
The family lined up to watch the excavation. We were all mesmerized watching the crews create the pool. The kids were lucky to be home from school the day they dug. They loved watching the bobcat and the dump trucks. I think they counted over 20 loads of dirt leave our property.
Dig complete.
Rebar and plumbing.
Gunite (spray concrete)
Spraying on the interior of the pool. Wet Edge, color: Mediterranean, medium pebble. The color of pebble used was from the Costa Tropical sample. They don't usually mix different colors and pebbles...but, we knew the interior guy and he thought we would really like the color. Yes Greg, it is a "smokin" color! Thanks for all your help and advice in building this pool! You were very helpful!
Acid washing the surface. Beautiful pebbles appear.
Filling the pool!

That looks so fun for your family. I always wanted a pool in my backyard growing up.
